Well one of my earliest posts was called You Amaze Me. As in life amazing moments occur at anytime and sure enough I had another amazing moment I felt I needed to acknowledge and celebrate and as with all inspirational moments I felt my blog was a great way to capture it in writing.
On the 6th February 2014 I became a proud and extremely happy Nana to a 6lb 14oz baby girl, my first gran-daughter. Now, I often get told you don’t look old enough to have a son as old as I have let alone to be a grandmother, but I am and I do. I know lots of people struggle with coming to terms with the fact they have approached 40, some can’t even acknowledge their age. I have never had that struggle, in fact I celebrated the fact and I decided to have a barbecue with the largest adult bouncy castle in the garden to celebrate, because, for me, it was about fun and laughing and just enjoying myself.
This year is my ‘year of Jubilee’, in June I will be 50, woohoo!! and I have entered this year totally excited. Why? Because its fantastic just to be here and be healthy.
I simply had to go out and shop when I heard the news of her arrival and when I saw her picture I had tears. She amazed be with her alertness and beauty. So tiny and an extension of my life. 50 years for me is a blessing and a joy. I embrace it rather that resist it, because of the opportunity that change brings me. I now have a new chapter in my life and so I thought I just wanted to celebrate the amazing things that people do. So I found this video which I hope captures amazing moments for you too. All down to people, who I find fascinating and their talents just blow my mind some time. Granted these are all things I would not do, but I do appreciate the courage and discipline to have a go and get to the level they have done, falls included:-)
So to amazing people in your life and in this world I say thank you and continue to be the Change you want to be.
